You wouldn’t run a marathon without a training plan, so why give birth without one?

Labor and childbirth are often compared to running a long race, as both are extraordinary physical feats with a strong mental component. As any runner or athlete knows, a healthy mindset and planning are key to success. The power and strength to have a great birth lies within you, and always has. By preparing your mind, body, and home together we can harness that power, giving you the knowledge and confidence for a strong journey from start to finish.

MOTHER's BLESSING CEREMONY

This ceremony is a beautiful joyful event that gives positive strength and love in the approach to labor & childbirth.

As an alternative option to the everyday baby shower, the Mother's Blessing Ceremony is usually held towards the end of pregnancy. It honors the transition into motherhood, offering the mother-to-be a wonderfully rich experience to support her through childbirth and early parenting. This celebration can also celebrate women who are becoming mothers through adoption and surrogacy. Most women choose this to be a woman-only event of your closest female friends and family members, but that is truly up to you.

MOTHER's BLESSING CEREMONY

In our society today we fixate so much on the baby and the birth that we simply forget about the mother and the journey thereafter. After the rigorous and demanding act of birth, the six weeks following are considered to be the most critical time in a woman's life. It is a time of massive adjustment, as your body continues to transform, your feelings tend to be all over the place, and your sense of self begins to change and morph.

Here at Soul Inspired Wellness, we aim to decrease stress levels and create a more balanced, harmonious transition to life after a new baby. As a Postpartum Doulas, we make it possible for you and your partner to focus solely on your baby's and the family's needs with confidence, patience, and ease.

It is Brooke's role to assist in:

  • Help developing a plan for self-care opportunities & physical support

  • Feeding support (breast, chest, or bottle)

  • Helping your partner(s) to feel supportive

  • Nutritious meal preparation

  • Bengkung belly binding, if desired

  • Lessons in self massage, if desired

  • Lessons in infant massage, if desired

  • Practical, hands-on tools for new parents

  • Normalizing infant behavior, sleep patterns, and developmental physical & neurological stages

  • Guidance in understanding baby's cue

  • Support and guidance as you learn newborn care, baby needs, and soothing techniques

  • Light housekeeping (baby's laundry, restocking and tidying nursery, running errands, snack prep, etc.)

  • Sibling preparation or assistance as you tend to the newest family member

  • Suggesting appropriate referrals when needed
