You wouldn’t run a marathon without a training plan, so why navigate childbirth without one?

Labor and childbirth are often compared to running a long race, as both are extraordinary physical feats with a strong mental component. As any runner or athlete knows, a healthy mindset and planning are key to success. The power and strength to have a great birth lies within you, and always has. By preparing your mind, body, and home together we can harness that power, giving you the knowledge and confidence for a strong journey from start to finish.

PERINATAL COACHING + PLANNING

Having a vision that no one else sees? No one understands, especially those closest to you. You don't want to be judged so you struggle in expressing your true needs, wants and desires. Navigating this alone can be intimidating, stressful, and even exhausting. You just want someone to listen and help you find your way through the experienced feeling whole and balanced.

You know you want to minimize the level of trauma and medical intervention, but not exactly sure how to maintain control once labor begins.

Here at Aspired Mother we get it. We truly do. And we know how to help you continue feeling this way.

Brooke's coaching gives you an opportunity to explore whatever it is you're experiencing in a safe, supported space, to gain understanding of factors that may be influencing your situation, tools to cope, and work towards healing and recovery.

CONTINUOUS LABOR SUPPORT

Whether you decide to birth in a hospital, birth center or in the comfort of your home Brooke will offer continuous physical, emotional and informational support (in-person or remotely) for you and your partner from the very start of labor.

Often times, new parents don't take into account that medical providers (OB's, Midwives, Nurses)  will be focused on taking care of your vitals and staying within hospital policies and procedures, so they will be coming in and out disrupting the calm energy of the room, tending to other patients, and may want to steer you off your birth plan.

While no one can foresee what your birth may bring, Brooke's focus is to help you feel satisfied with your birth experience by building an environment for 'undisturbed birth'. helping the progression of labor, provide coping strategies and hands-on support for the intensity of labor, help you stay connected to your body and baby, help you explore all your options (especially the unexpected tough ones), help you stay as close to your birth plan as possible, and last but not least, is in supporting your transition and the initiation into feeding your newborn.

This is very much a team effort, so let go of the notion that you are expected to do it all yourself. Your partner will also appreciate the knowledge and extra set of hands.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT & IN-HOME CARE

Along with having a baby, you have so much going on within your body, your heart, and your spirit. You are transitioning out of being pregnant, recovering from birth, bonding, learning to care for a newborn and figure out the best way to keep your newborn nourished.

Parenting a baby is big, important, and often challenging work, and you absolutely deserve to be fully supported in your physical recovery and emotional adjustment to parenting a newborn.

The duration of adjustment and recovery is very personalized as each body and birth experiences bring their own set of challenges, but in general it takes about a year. Here in the United States we are lucky to have a few weeks off, varying from company to company whereas in Canada they get 50 weeks off to recover and bond. This is likely why you are

Bringing Brooke into your home during this precious time can help you navigate the hormonal changes, light household organization to minimize overwhelm, running errands, assistance with newborn care and feeding, light meal preparation, baby soothing techniques, sibling care, babywearing, accompany to doctor appointments, and referrals to local resources.

OPTIMAL HEALING FOR YOUR COME BACK

According to Ayurveda, the first 42 days revives the lost art of caring for the mother after birth. As new Mothers are pushed by their careers to "bounce back" after delivering their baby and are often left alone to face the physical and emotional challenges of this new stage of their life.

The first 42 days provide a lifeline -- a source of connection, nourishment, and guidance -- as it is considered to be the most critical time in their life, full of adjustments, their body continues to transform, their feelings tend to be all over the place, and their sense of Self begins to morph.

If we look at the most common recurring challenges they may range from depression and other mood instability to aches and stiffness, constipation, gas bloating, joint and weight problems, and relationship challenges. This goes well beyond the Mother, themselves, the couple, the family and even the community will benefit from us taking the time to understand this triky period and prevent future problems.

Ayurveda is an ancient art and science of living and one of the oldest and most comprehensive system of traditional medicine in the world. By integrating ayurveda + reiki Brooke is able to offer her clients valuable insight into their needs through food, herbs, oil, massage, yoga, and more.
